« Part 1: Old Fashion Shoe Box Part 2 of Request for help series Part 3: Broken Crib - How to fix »

So after attending a Home and Garden show this weekend and seeing a folding stairway cover that will insulate the area, I have decided to build one. You know the type. A hood placed in the attic with some sort of door and insulation to keep this from being a big draft leak. Process seems simple enough. Some good quality MDF, insulating blankets, gaskets, and a few screws. Seems like it would take a few hours and save hundreds of dollars.

Has anyone out there made on of these and have likes to good examples. Any help in the planning stage would be great.

I’ll be praying for you. ;) Whenever I say, “That sounds simple”, I always think of those nightmare items that say, “Some assembly required.”
