My basement shop is smaller than I would like, but probably big enough. The latest addition is the 8 feet of wall cabinets I just finished. Workbench, table saw, jointer, thickness planer, bandsaw, and drill press don’t leave much room. It is however, my favorite place to unwind at the end of the day.

Nice shop. That workbench looks to have a glue up pine top correct? How is that working for you?

dbhost,

I made that workbench over 15 years ago from southern yellow pine. When I built it, I couldn’t afford to buy the hardwood for the top. It has held up much better than I thought it would.

My goal is to replace it with a solid maple top sometime in the near future. I will probably re-use the base.

Have your say...
