My shop is a 10’ by 24’ room in my barn. The barn that it’s in is big, but of course with lots of room comes the inevitable buildup of junk. So my plan in the next year or two is to clean up and expand the shop space another 14’ feet into the barn. The shop will be long and kind of narrow which will be interesting, but that’s the way it has to be.
As for tools, I have:
Delta Shopmaster contracter table saw
Delta Shopmaster drill press
Ryobi 12” compound mitre saw (junk)
Dewalt 13” planer
Delta Shopmaster dust collection
Craftsmen 150psi pancake compressor
Next to buy:
Ridgid 6” jointer
Grizzly 14” bandsaw

It’s cold outside, but I have a woodstove for the day and propane backup for when I’m not in the shop so it dosn’t get too cold.

What I like is the nature light you get. For those who work in garages or basements, natural light has a lot of appeal.
To hear that you have room to expand another 14 ft, what a gift.

Very nice shop, Jeremy. It is a luxury to have a heated shop this time of year. Oh by the way congratulations on the sawdust in some of your pictures. Too often I see shops that are spotless. This looks like the shop isn’t being used.
