I’m currently working out of a 1 car garage attached to my home that I share with gardening equipment, a lawnmower, bicycles, and storage. Obviously not ideal, but it works for now. I’m in the process of setting up a shop and just purchased a Ridgid tablesaw, (unfortunately still in the box) but I regularly us my Ryobi sliding compound miter saw, Dewalt trim router, Kreg Jig, and a sweet Stanley jack plane I inherited from my grandfather.

If that’s a Ridgid Model 4512, get it out of the box and set it up so you can check the blade to miter slot alignment at differing blade heights. Some of those saws have a defect that causes the blade alignment to rotate as the height is changed and this defect is not repairable as far as I know. And, you only have 90 days to exchange it for a replacement. After the 90 days, you have to send it to a repair center and that could cost money.

And welcome to the site.

Thanks for the heads up! It’s still within the 90 day period, so I’ll get it set up this week and test it out.
