I'm a workshop junkie.

I love whats in them as much as what comes out of them.

When I was a kid, my grandpa had a wonderful little shop of mostly homemade tools. If he needed something he made it. Magic. I would sit in there for hours and admire all those tools, hoping to know what to do with them someday.

I grew up thinking every man needed a workshop like that, and I have been working towards that goal my entire life. My first workshop was a loft in my dads very large truck shop, where I made my own homemade tools. I had a table saw that was an old circular saw mounted under a hunk of particle board, a small belt sander powered by a drill, a hokey little drill press that borrowed the drill from the sander, a router with its scary little table, a scavenged plywood workbench, and a few others. I was on my way.

Many years and a few shops later I am still trying to perfect that shop and what comes out of it. I still enjoy tinkering with the tools as much as producing things with them.

I enjoy many kinds of projects; cabinetry, furniture, carving, you name it. My problem is I like it all and never perfect any one thing.

Oh well guess I'm not there yet........

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Hello, Thanks for the comments on my shop. I actually live in Snoqualmie. I just put Seattle because no one outside of Washington can say Snoqualmie;-).

Drove through your neck of the woods last Saturday, headed out past George to visit my father in law.

-- Im so impressed with what people can do, and I wonder how they do it. Thats what keeps me doing it.

Small world Bill. I worked ems in snoqualmie area for years, I drive over the summit every week for work in Covington, and my folks live over by the Pot Holes reservoir. Too funny!
