rebuilding an old knife #6: The finish line, last entry!

Well it rained all day here. So what do I do? Let’s finish this old knife. When I left off I had the scales glued and ready to go. First task was to trim off the brass. It’s at this point that I found out the dremel is my friend. Made short work of the trim. Next was a trip to the band saw to get things close. I took Bill and Ken’s advice and attempted to make a natural bolster in the handle. So far it look’s like it will work out. Looks like I got a lot of filing and sanding to do. I set out to get things a little better and sanded, filed and dremeled for hours. The more I did the better it looked and the more I wanted to do. Really got in the groove...
