I decided the other day that those nifty french cleats would look real cool on my garage wall for modular, adjustable storage. My wife has a hard time dodging my tools, I can’t help bringing home new ones, and I cannot get to some to use them without 15 minutes of rearranging. Part 2: Let's hang up some planes

I ‘had’ to try hanging something on the french cleat portion already up; so I picked my Stanley #6, 7, and 8 because they have stayed so buried I have not cleaned them up for use. I first picked out some likely lumber, a little eastern red cedar shorts from my mill, some left over 1/8” ply for a bottom, and an oak cleat from the left over pile.
