French cleat garage storage system #2: Let's hang up some planes

I ‘had’ to try hanging something on the french cleat portion already up; so I picked my Stanley #6, 7, and 8 because they have stayed so buried I have not cleaned them up for use. I first picked out some likely lumber, a little eastern red cedar shorts from my mill, some left over 1/8” ply for a bottom, and an oak cleat from the left over pile. I ripped the cedar down to 1-1/4” for the trays. There was so much tension in the wood it literally cracked apart as I cut it.
