Just Wanted to Introduce Myself

I am so glad that I came across this site. What an excellent venue for woodworkers to share ideas, skills, and knowledge. I’m sure I will learn a great deal here.
My interest in woodworking started about three years ago. I had a big house and no furniture. I have always enjoyed building things, but mainly they had been more along the lines of home improvements, construction, and remodeling. I was blessed to have been able to purchase my grandparents home and also lucky to have wonderful neighbors who happen to be my parents. My father has been doing woodwork for years and has a nice shop to which I have been fortunate enough to have full access. (That is when he’s not working on something.)
So, I decided I would furnish my house myself. I never thought I would fall in love with woodworking like I have, but now I’m hooked. I have many projects I’ve completed over the last three years and will post them at some point. At first, my work was done from plans. I then started looking at photos on-line for inspiration and would build items from pictures and make changes where I wanted. I’ve now graduated to building truely original items of my own creation. I’m always interested in hearing constructive critisim, so please feel free to give my honest feedback on anything I post.
Nice to meet you all!

Welcome aboard, sounds like you have arrived at the right place. This is a great place to get tips, techniques and to answer some of the quick questions…beware though, it is addicting.
