Hi John, We just saw some of your furniture at Pepper’s Art Gallery in Selinsgrove last night. Beautiful work!
The pieces you have in the New Hope show are lovely also. It turns out a friend of mine Ron Bevilaqua has some sculpture in that show, his Eagle with American flag is on the show photo you have posted here. What a small world.
Best regards,
Jo

Thanks John,
Yes Ron’s sculpture is inspiring. I keep collecting interesting bits of wood to create sculptures with…one day.
I just updated my profile here….I am in Danville. Perhaps, we’ll make it out to your shop sometime to see more of your work. When we built our house in 2008, we saved some cherry that was on the lot. We had it rough milled at the Amish sawmill and built a few shelf planks and a fireplace cabinet for the propane fireplace at a friends workshop. We still have a good amount left to make some things, but we are not woodworkers, nor have the shop to work in.
This year we also have a black walnut tree that was cut down for a bridge project on our property. We have yet to get it to the sawmill, it may only be big enough for some slabs for benches. Your work at the gallery is very inspiring and has a great organic feel to the designs. I especially liked the little side table there. I have been also saving a piece from a tree that was cut last year. It has almost a heart shape and would make good tops for side tables.
I worked in a custom cabinet shop years ago doing the custom finishes for their work and I have been saving scraps and bits of wood to use in my mixed media collage artworks ever since. Anyway….we’ll have to get over to talk to you, perhaps we can have you design some pieces for the cherry and the walnut we have saved. Jo
