I’ve received several pm’s asking how our business is and what we do to promote ourselves so I thought I would begin a blog on our 2010 shows.
Next week I will be exhibiting at the ACC Baltimore show ( http://public.craftcouncil.org/baltimore/ ). I have applied to this show for the past 2 years and we were accepted last year but had to decline the invite. So we are in new territory wiht this one. This will be the first show of 2010 . We’re doing 9 shows this year . I have been workin’ my butt off trying to get new inventory ready for this show and feel pretty good about it. This is a 2 day wholesale show(Feb 23,24) and 4 day retail (Feb 25-28). Not real excited about the wholesale segment but we have a plan we feel pretty good about.
Had a client pop by the shop the other day just to say hello and they ended up buying one of my new pieces however they are allowing my to use it in my display. They also offered to look after our dog while we are away. They just lost their dog and are looking forward to having her visit.
So , today I plan on touching up the paint on my walls, finding a new carpet, some last little details on small projects such as installing mirror in frames. In hte meantime my wife will have to line 30 little boxes and 1 large jewelry box. We have our work cut out for us to get this ready but I am confident that we’ll get it done.
I’m a little angry with the promoters who didn’t use the proper photo in my profile but I’ll get over that. I am also having an issue with my credit card processor but I think we got that squared away. I just hope that the weather cooperates.
