Old and overfed married white guy. Too many interests, too little time. Great wife, great kids, great life... so far. Got into woodworking long after my father taught me the basics. Now I have a well-equipped and electrified shop in what used to be a two-car garage. Many home improvement projects under my belt; all new interior doors and trim throughout including stacked baseboards, wainscoting, chair rails and crown molding. All stained, no paint. Exterior projects include completely remodeled front porch including window treatments, new front door and architrave, curved front window boxes, a laid pattern ceiling and I even designed and built the light fixture. I also built a new mail box to reflect the details of the porch, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I love making sawdust and overcoming the FUBARs that are a natural part of becoming an accomplished slayer of trees.
I love old-school methods and the old tools that go with old-school. I love rehabbing them, collecting them, trading them, even tuning them up and putting them to work. Planes especially, old and new.
