Well, winter finally arrived a couple of days ago…..6 inches of snow and -2 degrees F. Not so bad, but I was getting used to the idea of skipping winter this year.
On a more pleasant note; I just celebrated my 1st year with LJ. I have enjoyed being a part of this great group of men and women, craftsmen and artists, with a common, yet diversified interest in things wooden. I have “met” so many great people in the past year and have even managed to meet a couple in person.
Thanks for everything; the encouragement, advice, counsel, and the humor, but most of all, the inspiration.

Happy LJ birthday John .
You have been a great inspiration and I hope you get some heat in your shop .
Your weather is not so bad , we are currently tasting – 30 c which is much colder and the shop is used as a garage for now as I have to go to work tomorrow and we are expecting – 50c tomorrow evening with the wind that is,are you feeling a little warmer now ?

happy first year. we are just getting our first winter storm in two more days. so they say…
they (the weatherman) can’t get a storm predicted right,within a week. how can they predict climate change 20 or 40 years from now?
