Back to frozen Minnesota after 10 days on Kauai. I didn’t bring back any wood this time, but some new ideas for projects. I met a fellow wood worker near Kapaa, and he had me drooling over his shop and tools…a full compliment of Jet tools; table saw, lathe, drill press, planer, band saw, wide belt sander, jointer, etc. I am so envious! He did have a minor mishap the day after we met….he has an additional Sawstop table saw, and while sawing a piece of plywood, the blade brake triggered; apparently a bit too high a moisture content. He had to replace blade and brake…ouch!
I am anxious to get back to making a mess in my humble garage/shop…the weather is starting to warm up to near 50 this week.

Welcome back. It might even get above freezing today just for you.

Welcome home! Too bad about the SawStop, I wonder how much nuiasance triping we never hear about? When GFCI requirements first came out, we couldn’t keep a cord hot on a construction site;-(
