Which Hand Plane? - 15 replies
I use power tools for 98% of all my woodworking operations and am quite happy with that method of work. Sometimes I do think a handplane would be useful. So here is the question: What is a good choice of handplane for someone who is a dedicated power tool user? Which type of plane would be most useful for general type work in a power tool env...

Hammer N4400 Owners: Blade Length? - 7 replies
I have this BS on order, should be receiving it soon. Specs state blade length at 156 and 3/4 inches—how critical is that length? My previous bandsaws did not require fractional size blades so this is uncharted territory for me. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! Karl

How close is close enough? - 8 replies
I took delivery of a new Grizzly G1023RL tablesaw late last week and have been slowly cleaning it up and assembling it. I used a precision straight edge to line up the cast iron table extensions, but it seems no matter how much I fiddle with it, I can’t get them completely, perfectly flush with the main table. I tried to weigh all the pros and cons of both, and am now finally just about 99% decided on a G1023R. I would like to hear from all you G1023R owners out there. This is a relatively new saw, so many of t...

How Many Machines On One Circuit? - 13 replies
My shop has one 220V 30 amp circuit (yes, it also has a bunch of 110V circuits, but my question is about the 220V circuit). The only thin connected to the 220V circuit at this time is a Grizzly DC. The motor on that is rated at 18 amps. I am thinking about buying the Grizzly G0690 TS—its motor is rated at 12 amps. Can I run both m...
