Powermatic bandsaw issues

My new Powermatic 14" arrived and I finally set it up. I installed the riser block and a Kreg Precision Bandsaw Fence. Definitely a 2-person installation. However, my efforts haven't been without issues.

First, the belt keeps coming off the motor. I've put it on several times but it slips off as soon as I start running anything through the blade. The problem is getting the motor to drop low enough on the bracket to get enough tension on the belt. Of course, if there were a front door on the lower cabinet, along with the side door, it would be much easier to get to the nuts on the outside of the bracket to help with alignment and tightening. Also, that would allow a second person room to keep enough downward pressure on the motor while you tighten the connections.

As to the Kreg Fence, for some reason, I cannot get it to sit slightly above the table to slide it left or right. When I adjust the set screws, they cause the fence to tighten down and then it's locked. When I loosen the knob, the fence again drops onto the table.

Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Thanks Skarp. I didn't have a small car jack available but I modified your idea and used a length of board to create a lever and fulcrum to pry the motor to alignment. Not the easiest set up. I think Powermatic could help the user by having a front door on the base as well as that side door.
