24 posts in 1390 days Location: New York City Ozan Gulec has always loved working with wood. From the age of nine when he started working in his uncle's shop until he graduated from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Turkey, he has known that his future would be centered in the art he could create with wood. While in Turkey his pieces were sought out by the most prominent members of his community and he was awarded a prestigious scholarship funded by fine art museums in Denmark.
It was in Denmark that he developed his skills further and in 1999 he moved to the United States where he worked in the fashionable Soho neighborhood of Manhattan, NY selling and creating custom furniture. He quickly gained a reputation as a superior craftsman and was able to open his wood working studio in 2000 located in the lower east side of Manhattan, NY. Since then he has acquired the finest equipment available to create beautiful custom furniture in his new Lynbrook manufacturing facility where he takes orders from all over the country.
Ozan is committed to the environment and is always striving to using products and methods that have the least impact on our natural resources and is always researching new materials and techniques the reflect this passion. Along with his wife and son, he has worked hard to create a thriving business that strives to create beautiful unique pieces for customers all over the country. He'll create the perfect piece for your space too! Latest Activity | view all »
