« Part 2: Mortising breadboard end and installing pattern makers vise Part 3 of Workbench Build series no next part

At this point in the project I have constructed the top and been using the bench to build the bench with the top layer out on a folding table. It was now time to build the base to turn it over and stand it up. The mortises are 1.75inch deep and house the center lamination or each leg. It is a gravity fit in case I ever move.

For now this is the point I am completed with on my workbench.

I will be making a laminated leg vise for my front vise and a double sided under bench storage cabinet so I can still open drawers from both sides in the next few weeks.

Please leave any comments or suggestions for me. You all have been a great source of ideas and inspiration throughout my woodworking career.

Thanks
Jason Borthwick
