Location: Florissant, MO

Janice and I live in Florissant, Mo. I have been working with wood probably for the past 18 years. I wanted a sewing machine for X-mas, so my husband bought me one. But after seeing what my dad was doing with his scroll saw, I borrowed my father in law's and never really learned to sew. Well, I can alittle bit. It was pretty much like using a sewing machine. So I started out with small crafts and then learned how to paint. Before I knew it I was making shelves and small furniture, then I built my bedroom set....
We have a cabin on the river that I've been going to since I was a born. My dad gave me the cabin a few years back and now my husband is building a room addition for us. A bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a greatroom. I told my husband I wanted to build the kitchen cabinets and after alot of arguing I won. It was the most fun I've had working with wood. They turned out good enough for the river. I am so much an ameature, alittle afraid to put pictures up after discovering this site and seeing what everyone else is doing. Going to the river, woodworking and painting is what I love to do!
