I was reading the new issue of Wood and on the cover is a flip top router table. I have seen several blogs and people talking about router tables buying and building, this is one was supposedly built for 43$ although I assume that has to do with where you live and materials you use. I was intrigued by the picture and think it is the router table I am going to try to build. I especially like the way the fence clamps onto the table and the fact that you can flip the top for easy removal and working on of the router itself. Maybe that is common in router tables I don’t know I just liked it myself. I also like that it can clamp to my bench or assembly table as my shop is cramped as it is.
I am curious if anyone else has looked at it and if it has appealed to anyone else.

My first one was from scrap MDF and a pair of saw horses. Get creative and don’t be afraid to try different things. I gave my last one away which was #4 Now I will make my last one with all the features I think I need. Then I will make #6 LOL the point is each time you make something you learn something new and there will be mistakes “Its wood right”?
Have your say...
