no previous part Part 1 of chisel review series no next part

A few days ago I received my set of the new Stanley #750 series chisels and have to spread the word. Buy these chisels!! I’ll start with the fit and finish: The polishing on these chisels is supberb as is the “feel” of them. VERY well balanced. I read somewhere that one needs to hone these before use; I saw right off that there isn’t any secondary bevel on them but I had some paring to finish on the dovetails of a blanket chest I’m building for my daughter. These puppies are sharp! ‘Right out of the box’ sharp. For anyone looking to buy chisels, the bang for the buck is outstanding! I have a full set of Marples Blue Chip chisels that will be used for the heaving pounding jobs and shall keep my new beauties for paring and such.

What’s your impression of these now that you’ve had a few months to use them? I just ordered a set and am (im)patiently waiting for them to arrive.

Awesome, glad to hear that. I’ll let you know when I get ‘em.
