Most importantly, I am a mom and grandma! I started woodworking about 4 years ago- with a cheap tablesaw, and few other tools. Now I have a decent tablesaw, and many tools! My first nice project was a cradle for my brother, then one for my kids. I moved onto making kitchen cupboards, mainly to save money. That's when I had to buy more tools (Darn!) I am hooked. My skill level has increased, by trial and error, but I am still a beginner! I have learned mainly by reading, reading, reading. Now that I'm a grandma, I'd like to start making children's furniture and outside play equipment. I am very glad I found this site!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi Colleen, I’m fairly new to this site too. It’s great to see other women on here. Love your stuff, especially your secret drawer, what a neat idea. Hope to see more soon. Do you mind if I add you to my buddie list?

Janice, that would be great! I read your profile and know what you mean about posting projects, it is a little intimidating…. these guys are a very talented lot! You have some very nice looking projects, so keep it up!
