Part 1: Design of Desk
I saw a desk I thought looked really nice on one of those flash deal websites a few weeks ago, and when I saw the price tag on it, and that it was made out of MDF I decided I could do better. I changed the design from the original with a few of my own details to add a little something to it. Part 2: Lumber Delivered!
Well my lumber was delivered and I went to a friends place to cut it down on a table saw and use his planer to get all the edges nice and clean. I ordered my lumber from a site called Woodworkers Source (Link), and although I was initially a bit hesitant to order online I decide to take the risk since the price was right. 20b.f. for just over $100 as it was on sale, and free shipping. Wow! According to my last LJ post, it’s been 273 days since I last actually worked on this table of mine. What can I say, work and grad school have kept me busy. But I’m back in action!
