Well my lumber was delivered and I went to a friends place to cut it down on a table saw and use his planer to get all the edges nice and clean.

I ordered my lumber from a site called Woodworkers Source (Link), and although I was initially a bit hesitant to order online I decide to take the risk since the price was right. 20b.f. for just over $100 as it was on sale, and free shipping. Can’t beat that. Very happy with the selection I got, color matches pretty well and the grain looks good. A few areas on the boards that are a bit beat up (maybe like that at shipment, maybe from the delivery process), but nothing I can’t work around.

It’s all ripped down now, just left to chop into the right lengths and start assembly!

Yeah, after all was said and done I need to run to home depot and get maybe one more 6’ board. The way these widths worked out I ended up with a decent bit of waste on 3 out of those 5.

Have your say...
