Workshop Transformation #4: Miter Saw Station

The table the miter saw sits on is built from new wood, 24” deep, 48” long. The “extension” table on the left is built from scraps and 1×3 and 1×4 furring strips; it’s 60” long. The miter saw is screwed in place, as is the stop fence. I constructed a stop block that is held in place by a regular clamp for repetitive cuts. I will likely add a dedicated clamping system at some point to the stop block but that’s for later. Instead of having the saw at a lower level as I have seen in most other miter saw stations, I decided just to make a couple of blocks to keep the material level and hold it up during cuts. I just...
