2 years ago while walking through Home Depot, I was making jokes with wife (then fiance) about how crazy people must be to spend more than $25 on a cordless drill. About 4 months ago I started catching the tool bug and have since built out what I judge to be a pretty nice shop. I owe a lot to my wife who supports my new hobby and actually kinda got me started with my awesome chop saw.
My tools:
- Dewalt DW718 12” Sliding Miter Saw with stand
- Ridgid RO Sander
- Dewalt Sheet Sander
- Dewalt Jig Saw
- Dewalt Cordless Drill Driver (Lithium Ion)
- Dewalt XRP Hammer Drill (Lithium Ion)
- Dewalt dw635 Thickness planer
- Ryobi Circular Saw
- Kreg Jig Master System
- Kreg Klamp table with custom base
- Ridgid DP15501 1/2 HP Drill Press (cast iron)
- Jet JWBS-120S 12” 1/2 HP Open Stand Band Saw
- Jet 16-32 Drum Sander
- JessEm Mast-R-Lift w/ Delta 7518 Variable Speed Production Router
- Ridgid R29302 2HP Router with Plung Base
- Ridgid JP06101 Joiner Planer (cast iron)
- Ridgid TS3650 10” 1.5 HP Table saw w/ herculift (cast iron)
- Craftsman 113.236150 16” Direct Drive, Variable Speed Scroll Saw
- Delta AP400 Single Phase Dust Collector w/ hoses, gates, and splitters”

Pete, you have put together a pretty nice looking shop. You have certainly added some nice tools to your collection. Your wife must be a very patient and understanding person to support your addiction. She sounds like a keeper to me.
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

I think you have a very nice shop and lots of good equipment. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Having a great wife that supports your endeavors is a HUGE blessing. I know from first hand experience! (mine bought my planer for me!). You are off to a great running start with a fantastic selection of tools already. I had to laugh a little bit at the Deadhead sticker on the bandsaw… Your avatar pic looks a little young for a deadhead…

Isn’t that the “Jerry Garcia Limited Addition” bandsaw? I have been eyeing up the Jimi Hendrix tablesaw!

How do you like your Ridgid jointer? Debating between that one and the Jet 6”.
When the Ridgid goes on clearance for $288 it seems like a great deal.

It was giving me lines and was pretty rough. I just got new blades (freud) but haven’t put them on yet. Reviews have been great from what i’ve read though!

Added 3 items over the last few months. First was a Dewalt Thickness planer which has worked admirably. It was used for $350 I think. On Black Friday I added a Kreg Klamp table because while the pocket hole system was great, with limited bench space I was having trouble keeping things square. Lastly, I added a Jet 16-32 Drum Sander which was my best Craigslist find yet. $300 for a 6mo old DS with stand and tables. Works perfect! Certainly gloat worthy

Did you get the DW735? If so, that is a GREAT planner, I picked one up on CL as well up here OKC. But like you said, that DS was a STEAL, i came across my INCRA rounter table on CL like that, right place at the right time.
Lets see some new pictures, I’d like to see the Kreg clamp table.

Here are my new additions. You can’t really see the Kreg Klamp table, but it works pretty well. I was going to build the table so it could just be rotated, but I decided to just make the top removable with dowels in the corners to “lock” the top in place.
