I didn't mention the soundbox is Banksia and the top is Ash. I definitely wont be using Banksia for this again, lovely timber but really brittle and unstable.
Once the skin is on it should hold everything together though. I hope!

I have finished this now and it was quite an interesting project, here are some pics of getting her strung and with the skin fitted.
I tried to do everything the old school way this included seasoning the pig skin with a hand made concoction made from bees wax, lemon oil and copha.
