In my workshop I’ve currently got mostly Shopsmith tools, due to the fact that I’m in the garage (which is a “nasty” word – it has been officially renamed “the workshop”.) My wife seems to think that the part of the house with the big door in front is for the van… I can’t seem to convince her that vehicles go outside. Oh, well…
I’ve got a Shopsmith Mark V (520) and a Shopsmith “mini” – a SS jointer, planer, bandsaw, scrollsaw, and strip sander. I use a DeWalt 746 with Jointech SawTrain for the real bulk of the tablesaw/router station work. I try my hand at just about everything, but like mainly to do cabinet work and lathe work.
UPDATE – Well, it was finally time to make the shop a bit more usable and space-friendly. It was a long time coming… a complete shop tear-down isn’t something I looked forward to. Anyway, it is done and back in order and I think the results speak for themselves.
