« Part 2: Phase 2 - The Floor Part 3 of Pam Wants a Patio series Part 4: Phase 4: Creating a Pergola »

Now time for Phase 3 – to fill the beds with dirt so Pam can begin to integrate her plants. As you can see, Pam has lots to choose from.

However, a softball injury knocked me out of commission for weeks.

Thank God for good neighbors! Walt offered to pick up a truck load of compost and fill the bed for Pam. A few days later, on Pam’s day off, she and her friend Charlene began sorting and planting.

The timing for this project worked out great as it is now ready for use just when the 90+ days began to slack off. We are now enjoying cooler mornings and not so blistering days. Great for a little bible study in the morning and a cozy dinners at night.

Phase 3 complete..
…including a little visitor

Phase 4 will see us finish off the top by creating a pergola from the four posts. This however will have to wait till the check bone heals, the wires come off my teeth and double vision clears!

Oh dear, Harold, take care!
I won’t comment on the garden because we are in the middle of a snowstorm and I’m jealous.

Julie – thanks. This all happened back in 2011, so I’m better now, but the face is not as pretty as it once was. I guess that adds character! Sorry here of your storm, It’s storming SUNSHINE and beautiful 68 degree weather here in Florida on this 4th day of Dec, 2013!! In case you’d like to rethink your winter plans!!
