This is from a different California Coastal Live Oak tree that came down in a storm 3 years ago, it also was around 250 years old. After air drying for 18 months and a couple of months in the solar kiln, I decided to give it a try with some epoxy, since my first attempt was fairly successful.

”The dimensions of this piece are : One end is a little wider at 28 1/2” , with the other being a little over 24” and the length being 37 1/2”. The thickness is about 1 5/8”.”

That’s one hefty slab—a real beauty!
