hello, my name is Harry Montana and I work for the hardwood mill called Hardydeck SRL, located in Bolivia just acros the border with Brazil. In this workshop I would like to show you the process of cutting the Brazilian Redwood (also called massaranduba) and especially the latex that comes out when you cut the log:

massaranduba logs waiting to be milled

a massaranduba log being milled

here you can see the white latex coming out when cutting the log

final step is cutting the boards one by one into the correct length

brazilian redwood boards ready for dispatch!
see here for more on the production of massaranduba
