    Hi Alex,

Just sent you an email with details, but the bottom line is yes - the planer pals worked perfectly with this planer, even though they barely catch the edge of the blades, and it doesn't look like they fit right. Go ahead and use 'em, and enjoy the planer :)

    Hi Bill,

I was searching the internet for help with installing blades on a Delta 22-540 planer without the knife setting jig and came across a post you started back in 2013. I too got the mini planer pals and found that the center magnet is quite off from the center. The center magnet just barely catches the edge (as you found as well).

I guess my question is, can I just install them using the mini planer pals even though the center magnet is off? Do I have to make any other adjustments? Was there enough surface connection for the magnets to hold the blades?

Really appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Thanks! I've been "stalking" the boards for a while now researching and hunting for a table saw (been using a hand-me-down craftsman RAS for about 8 years, and decided it's finally time to step up to a traditional table saw). Looks like a great site you've put together!
