I know there are a lot of Roubo workbench builds posted in the last few years, but I have no apologies for adding another to the pile. Why did I start this? Mainly because my current bench is totally inadequate. It is a “weekend workbench” I’ve used for a couple of years now, built before I really understood what I wanted or needed. Several people have asked if I bored the neck hole at a 42 degree angle too, and the answer is no. When I made the first batch of these 10 years ago I did, actually they were at a 45 degree angle. That’s pretty hard to do and made for a very tippy piece when using 3/4” stock. If you notice most of the ones people make that have an angled hole have a much bigger foot than just 3/4” stock. .So the rules say we can only post one entry and I’ve done that. But since we are in the kitchen, I’ll post this little gizmo anyway. It is another way to reduce the contents of that off cut bin! It is also real easy and quick. The only tools required are a drill, a coping saw, jigsaw or band saw, and sandpaper. So what is it exactly?..I think the photo says it all. Pardon our dirty oven.
