The handsawgeek workshop has been somewhat idle as of late. Actually it hasn’t been totally idle, it’s just been temporarily re-purposed…
I blame my grand-kids….
They got me hooked on building with LEGO. But before you hit the back button, let me assure you that this is just a temporary situation, until we get a semi-large scale project completed.
I certainly don’t need another long-term hobby to compete with woodworking for my time and monetary resources, but I must say, clicking them little bricks and elements together is a lot of fun…..
So, it won’t be too long until I resume working on a couple of wood projects that are on hold, and getting back to my regular blog schedule.
In relation to this LEGO business, I’ve actually toyed with the idea of integrating it into woodworking by building some mini-figure display cases/shelves. (for those of you who are unfamiliar with LEGO, mini-figures are the little plastic people that come with LEGO sets. There is a huge variety of them, and lots of fans collect them as stand alones). I may go as far as to place an add on CL offering to build custom wood minifig cases. Ya never know….
