Today the wood worked me!

I’m too old for this. I am finally getting around to processing some walnut a friend gave me a while back. I have a good excuse, I’m too old for this.

This is what I got done today, little more than half of the pile. I use Anchorseal as close to cutting as I can. I have had walnut crack by the next day without it.

I noticed something I have never seen before. The wood was sprouting new growth, right out the side of some of the logs. This has been cut some time now. The will to live is strong. In theory, this tree could live forever.

I need a hot soak in the bubblebath and I’ll be all right again.

Great job, and great stash of wood.

When you grow another dozen or so board-feet, lemme’ know and I’ll swing by with a 4×8 utility trailer :-)

And … yeah … getting older isn’t bad, but aging .... kinda’ sucks :-)

That’s quite a pile of wonderful things to come.
Enjoy the bath :)
