well i am hot enough about this to post an entry, and truthfully i do not feel this is acceptable by any standards, maybe you will disagree but here is my beef…
I placed an order on Thursday July 9th at 4pm EST, F+W Media billed my bank, the order was not processed the next day which was Friday, nothing happened over the weekend, nothing happened again Monday, then maybe it shipped Tuesday July 14th? Maybe…
In that very same amount of time, i purchased similar items shipped from Hong Kong and they were delivered well before F+W Media was able to even ship my IN STOCK items from a neighboring state!
You might say.. well its only a few books and free shipping, whats the big deal with having to wait 7-21days for them? The big deal is that this is 2009, i didn’t mail my order in, the items were in stock, no order should sit for days, and they are not shipping halfway around the globe…

yeah, I try never to order stuff online at the end of the week, as the weekend will always delay processing time. I hear your pain. but seems a bit too heated up about this. unless I call in personally and request next day delivery, I always expect several days for things to get delivered… just got another delivery yesterday as a matter of fact – ordered last friday from the next state…

Ah, I’m Chris Schwartz, really, I am. Honest. Do you have the Jerky in extra spicy?
Seriously, I hope your order comes sooner than later. Hang in there I’ll bet it will arrive soon.

It’s not like they promised next day shipping. From: “http://www.woodworkersbookshop.com/help”:
“Delivery Time
Unless a product specifically states an expected due date, all products are in stock and ready for shipping. For U.S. addresses, please allow 7-21 business days. For Canadian addresses (Canadian Parcel Post), please allow 10-20 business days.”
I’ve ordered books from F+W, with free shipping, and they typically arrive in Connecticut in 7-9 days via USPS Media Mail. This is comparable to most books and DVD’s I’ve purchased from Amazon or BN.com using the same shipping method.
If I had paid for next or two-day delivery, I’d be pissed if the order didn’t immediately ship, but I can’t agree with you here.

well its 18 days since i completed and confirmed my F+W book order… still have not received my books!
F+W has emailed to inform me that an order placed after 2:30pm CST are not accepted that day, and all orders have a 72hr waiting period, SERIOUSLY? That is just not acceptable to me as a customer…
i understand delays, but a 72hr, 3 business day delay to ship an in stock item? logistically that is pathetic…

on day 19 i received a very pleasant phone call from a customer service representative who quickly informed me that they were re-shipping my book order via FedEx! I have yet to receive it but already I feel better knowing that their customer service department was polite, quick and willing to take care of me! A B+ is awarded to F+W for taking care of the customer, it took a little while but B+!
