i dove head first into woodworking with little training, what i learned from my father, no great tool collection, and one simple goal: to build furniture that i need. i have used the internet mostly to learn different technique and network with other people building similar pieces. there is an absolute plethora of information available out on these inter-tubes!
at heart i am truly a hacker, but lately computers have begun to bore me, don't get me wrong i could never turn away from my loved GNU/Linux and all the great FREE softwares i rely on every day. i have altered my life in such a way to return to my artists roots, and i am ever so happy now.
in my short woodworking careerer i have built workbenches, desks, coffee tables, end tables, entertainment centers, chairs, tables, stools, and a slew of workshop stuff. on my website www.mikehacker.com i have created a woodworking section which contains photos of my adventures in woodworking!
