« Part 5: Knife Hinges and Case Assembly Part 6 of James Krenov Inspired Case series Part 7: Oil, Shellac and Wax Finish »

Well it’s time to finally hang the doors on the cabinet. I trim the door to fit opening, and cut the mortises in the bottom of the doors for the knife hinges. The mistake of not bringing the hinges up 5/16” from the case has not prevented me from hanging the doors correctly. I’m hoping that only the trained eye will find my mistake!

I’m getting a little bored with reading the entries in the forum, so I decided last night to look at the videos section, I came across your latest video on hanging those cabinet doors, when you got them done, I was very impressed at how well you did those, that I went to your “youtube” channel and saved in my “favorites” folder your channel, I clicked on your playlist, and found the “pedestal table”, so I am now watching it, with the same entusiasm, I like how you pay attention to fine detail, and the techniques you use to accomplish these details, I’m really enjoying your videos, very well documented, with a lot of good footage on the work being done.

You do beautiful fine woodworking, the videos are very inspirational to watch, they help me to bring my woodworking up to another level.

Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.

Thank hobby1! I appreciate the words of encouragement. My only goal in posting these videos is to give something back to the woodworking community. I know that some will take the information from the videos and put it into their own projects or processes. And that alone makes it all worth while.

Guy, I think that your videos are some of the best on the web, there is not much woodworking related to watch on TV anymore, thank you very much, I hope you keep posting.
