« Part 7: Everything starting to find a home Part 8 of Dutch Tool Chest Build-a-long series no next part

Well I finally got some time to finish the tool chest and apply a distressed oxford blue and wax finish. As it turns out I did decide to get rid of the dowel tool rest and go for the traditional tool rest. The reason I did this was because I noticed some of the tools were not wedging against the back wall as well as others and they moved around while moving the chest. At this point, when I get some more free time, I am going to attach some handles and add a small drawer or two in the bottom compartment for better organization.

Looks right at home there! Looks good, good practice for the Anarchist’s tool chest? Sharpen up them Dove tail skills?

Thanks Andre. I think next I need to build the companion lower compartment. This will raise the chest up to a comfortable working height. Long term goal I think I will want to build a nice wall hung tool cabinet
