I have recently returned to my passion for guitar making, and wood-aholism, after a nearly two year hiatus. I thought the world ended, when a less than honorable landlord, locked me out of my fully stocked, and loved, shop, and subsequently stole every tool, and splinter of wood from me. I am now building guitars, full time, with some donated tools, and shop space, and trying not to dwell on my misfortune. I am just trying to reach out to the only people that I relate to and trust. Woodworkers.

Great guitar work! Hats off – amazing… If you don’t mind, I could use a “go-to” guy with real guitar knowledge when I’m designing my guitar stands.

Just had my first look at your work. You are very talented. As a guitarist, I’d love to play them all. As a woodworker, I’ve always threatened to build my own but, to date, I’m still playing my Martins and Gibsons. Maybe someday I’ll give it a shot. Maybe even buy a GREGORY. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Bubbs, I was afraid to build a guitar. I had this idea in my head that the joinery could only be done by ninjas and that I would never be good enough of a woodworker to make a guitar. My mentor gave me a book called “Build your own electric guitar”, and with nothing to lose, I made a semi hollow with a rosewood top, and a fucked up scale length. It played okay, looked half assed, but it sounded incredible. y life has not been the same since. If you are passionate about guitars and tone, you need to build one. Martins are great, and I played a Les Paul custom for 20 years, but a hand made instrument, with hand chosen wood, always sounds better to me. Now get away from the damn computer and go sit with your guitars. Nick
