I will be adding to my workshop description, since I will be retiring soon and fitting out a new workshop space. It will occupy a garage addition with a 13’x18’ main shop area and a 6’x18’ walk-through storage area. While this is not a large shop, it will be dedicated shop space that I will finish out for nothing but woodworking. It will have a ductless HVAC system, plenty of electrical capacity, and a compressed air system installed in the walls. I’m in the process of demolition now, taking the walls down to the studs. Then the electricians will do their work. After that I’ll install the air lines, put down a utilitarian floor (probably plywood), and insulate and finish the interior walls. Then the tools can go in, and I can take my time building cabinets and trimming out the interior. I am really looking forward to this project.

Good for you, on the dedicated shop. Currently in a state of chaos, I too have a small shop 12×24 (main shop and storage). Still have not decided the best layout for me… Looking forward to see the final product..
