our long time wood working friend NBEENER needs your help, he posted his story in the forums but i want to appeal to all of you , he doesn’t want your money, but what he does need is for his story to go out to as many who will read it, but i did something in hopes that it could happen, i went to this page https://www.oprah.com/ownshow/plug_form.html?plug_id=220 and told them that we needed Oprah’s help, and i thought if enough of us did that, it just might get to her, and she could help our dear friend neil brooks… here is his story
http://nbeener.blogspot.com/2012/04/im-posting-this-on-april-27th-2012.html, please read this and then go to Oprah’s site i have provided and tell them you know a friend who needs her help and put his link to his blog in the message area, its all i know to do to really help neil now..please take a few minutes and help our wood working friend and brother…please….....grizzman

This is truly terrible. I read the story and wrote to Oprah.

Take 20 minutes out of your day and lets help somebody LJ’s. Don’t be selfish, what else are we doing today? watching tv, making sawdust? The wood will be there when you’re done.

Thanks and God Bless!

Gee Grizz, I sympathize but everyone from all the people in the area to the cops, other city officials, to the court system… etc. Didn’t give them any satisfaction. How can it be that there was not one sympathetic ear among them?

My heart goes out to him and I hope someone, maybe Oprah picks up on it. But, after reading all the reports I wonder what they’ll do?

I read the story and wrote to Opra. If it were me I woud have just thrown a few spiked hamburger patties to the dogs early on and…end of story…

What a sad sad story Bob, About all Sandra & I can do from down under is pray that Neil & his family get the peace they sort back into their lives sooner rather than later.
I spent about a week on business in Fort Collins back in the 80 ’s & can understand them chosing it as an ideal place to settle.
We will have a go at contacting Oprah but not sure if it will accept outside the US
Our oprayers for you Neil, go well friend

Hey, Grizz – got to thinking about this and am wondering if Neil and his family might be willing to contact some of the consumer advocate news reporters here locally. Nothing I can think of would be more embarrassing to all the people involved than having Neil’s story broadcast locally. There are a few they might want to contact:

Tom Martino, http://www.referrallist.com/
http://www.9news.com/ (this one they could click “contact” and their email would be routed to the right person)
Same with this one: http://www.thedenverchannel.com/index.html

I’m not so sure Oprah would be the best option because she does more national. Local like what I’m suggesting might be more effective. Good luck to Neil and his family. Hope things work out for them.

TZH, I had the same thought as you., Local pressure would be a good plan. I’ve talked to some of my friends in Ft. Collins and they agree that the local media would be the way to apply some pressure where it’s needed. Greg, I would have done the same as you but I think Neil is too nice a guy. What does that say about us?
