The sunlight dances in amongst the tress..the wind moves slowly like a gentle breeze….the beauty of wood is before our eye’s,the things my friends do …like a gentle surprise..a special note during the busy of a day, there saying hello helps the bad go away, something comes when not expected or known and sometimes they call unexpectedly on the phone…like the beauty of wood they are before my eye’s and the special things they do sometimes makes me cry.

Oh how special they have become to me, i see them as family , what more could they be…they give and have given beyond the mark…they shine in my eye’s they light that spark…the void they do fill when life gets to hard, they help me get over the parts that are scarred..like a song in my heart they are now always there, we have memories now and our lives we have shared…going on into a new day, friends forever friends to stay.

this is dedicated to my lumberjocks friends..and i hope all of you lumberjocks can and have made some special friends here, i know i have and they know who they are. i could never repay the kindness that has been shown and i could never find any other people who have touched me as you all have..wood workers are a breed of people with hearts of gold..peace and happiness i wish for you all….grizzman

I say likewise, we are all blessed here with friends we have yet to meet but already know and love and awaiting the time we can and will meet. Thanks for your kind words, we have not interacted much yet but I know you and respect you by the words you use and the things people say about you all comes together and tells me that we are kindred in spirit.

That’s what friends are for, to be there for each other and to support one another in times of duress and to pick one up when the other one falls. Even though your in Alabama & I’m in Ohio I still feel your friendship up here. Take care my friend :)

I have made friends (Grizz included) in the short time I’ve been here. I am always adding new people to my buddy list just to make it easier for me to keep up with what they are working on. My short Lumberjock experience has been like on no other forum I’ve ever been part of. We can talk, assist, debate, and all while remaining civil. Belive it or not, that is a rare thing on the internet.
Thanks for the beautiful poem Grizz. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Aw Griz- you are so sweet and sentimental. I agree the folks here on L/J are a unique bunch. We are lucky to have found each other. :)

Bob, you are just sharing something I’ve shared a dozen times on here. We are family man, when one of us hurt, we all hurt, when one of us has some great news we all feel good for that person. Your just another good guy among a bunch of other great guys and gals, we all feel it and share it, that’s why we are here and stay here. We are spirit brothers in hear and soul. Most everyone on here would give you the shirt off their backs. Not my new LJ shirt though. Maybe an older one. Gottcha buddy. Mike

Yes, I have made many friends here – you being one of the special ones. But now I feel it’s time for you to get the beard back – you’re getting to be an old softy without it!
