A little help if you please, Fellow LJ'ers - 6 replies

I am preparing to join the pen turning addicts, and need a bit of help. I have purchased a mandrel and some beginner pen kits. I have my blanks ready and have watched more video tutorials than I can count. I neglected to buy a barrel trimmer, however. Is there another way to trim barrels flush or is this the only way?
