I have a friend who spends countless hours and miles looking in old barns chasing down old Volkswagens and Porsches and sometimes comes upon old hand tools that are given to him. He brings me the woodworking tools and they are usually in pretty rough shape.
However, while I was busy building the coffin a while back he delivered some old planes and a red painted lunchbox with something in it. I just now opened it a guess what I found. A Stanley No. 45 with what looks like the complete set of irons and accessories.
Can’t wait to clean it up, sharpen some irons and give this baby a test drive. Thanks Sean, I owe you big time.
