I've been woodworking forever - it seems. I remember the day in the early 50's when my father bought me a Sears lathe for less than $25.00. Never looked back. Jobs and children kept me out of the shop much of the time - I traveled extensively and had five children thru a couple of marriages. I'm happy doing anything from framing an addition to fine furniture construction And, I actually enjoy the finishing aspects primarily using spray finishes but will also hand rub when appropriate. Now retired, I get more shop time than before but skiing does cut into my shop time as does bridge with a bunch of buddies.
