I started doing woodworking when I remodeled my kitchen in 2009. I looked at cabinets & doors at big box and retail stores and contractors displays and thought I can buy the equipment & make those and still come out ahead. I already owned an old Craftsman tablesaw. Well, it ended up taking over a year & half, but finally finished.
I made raised panel doors, second set was much better! I started out with Alder and had alot of trouble with it being a soft wood, so I switched to red oak after making about 1/3 of the doors. I've made a variety of things since and last winter I turned my 2 car garage into a woodshop. I've learned that the workshop is a project that will go on for a long time!
