i need some suggestions on a finish for a project that is made of soft curly maple. i am trying to find something that will accentuate the curl in the maple and give it a gloss finish. i have tried some poly-urethane on some scrap, but it yellows the wood. i also tried a mahogany poly/stain combo and it didnt bring out the curl like i want. any suggestion woiuld be helpful, thanks

Welcome to LumberJocks. You’ll find this to be a great site for picking up pointers and exchanging ideas on all things wood and even some that aren’t.
