That sounds real exciting and I’ll bet that you can’t wait to get started on it. You should consider doing a well documented blog on creating your shop. It would really make an interesting blog. Welcome to Lumberjocks.

Right there with you. I bought a 12×24 shed/barn in a kit that I am still working on (tweeking). It has been alot of fun todo. You will enjoy it immensley. Have fun.

Congratulations. Now is the time (before it is filled with tools & stuff) to give serious attention to lighting, electrical, heat/AC, and layout planning. There are a lot of good tips here on LJ.

Sounds great can’t wait to see pics when you get them. Be sure to put in enough electrical to handle your current needs and future needs. I just got done wiring my 12×30 and am beginning to start organizing the shop so I can start woodworking again. As 8iowa stated if you can finish it out before moving everything in will make things easier. In my case I have to do things as I can afford to. Congratulations on your new shop.

The Shed was delivered on Thursday, much to my suprise (and theirs too) Lark has made me a 12×24 shed instead of a 12×20!! True to the retailers word (Shed Movers, Titusville Fl) they didn’t try to jack up or change the price. They initally forgot the ramp to get in but came back today and built it as promised. I’m not meaning to write a commercial for them, but I think great customer service should be recognized. I plan to post entries with pic’s as my work shop progesses. I’ve never had one before and am a relative newbie to most woodworking, I appriciate everyone being so supportive and encouraging. Thanks for the warm welcome, and stay tuned for further updates (and plenty of questions)...Bill C

I have a 12×16 and could use the other 8 feet. Congrats. Mine is a lofted barn and has a good bit of storage. Table top units are nice but sometimes lack the power needed. Post about your build.
