Welcome to LJ, Gizmo. Lucky you living that close to the Gamble house and having a bungalow of your own. I’m envious. I’m be interested to see how your remodel goes.

Welcome to LumberJocks

It’s nice to have another LumberJock from Pasadena.

I have been making cabinets. We should discuss cabinet making. BTW, where are you taking the cabinetmaking classes? Cerritos? I haven’t been able to find anything close to Pasadena.

Cheers,

If you live in Pasadena then it’s a very short drive for you. It’s only 30 minutes from you off of Carnilian and the 210. Go to the foundation web site www.malooffoundation.org and make a reservation. The tour groups are small and there are three to four groups each Saturday. You will also want to make sure the day has not been reserved by a group. You will love it!

Just checked out your projects and you have some really nice work. My projects lean towards the reclaimed and simple easy work so I think your and your recycled screens caught my eye first. This is a great site and I’ll be looking for more of your work.

Giz,

I am so envious of you doing this project and having the set of “Little Journeys.”

Your craftsmanship is fantastic and you got to do some fuming. (Yeah, that makes me jealous.)

Great Job and thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your postings.

We can never have enough SoCal members! I used to live in Pasadena, went to school there, little school (Caltech). At the time they had a metal shop but not a wood shop. Don’t know if they ever fixed that obvious error. :-)
